About

The Commonwealth has a coordination gap, and CCIA exists to close it

The Commonwealth Creative Industries Alliance (CCIA) is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company building a more connected, investable and internationally competitive creative economy across all 56 Commonwealth member states.

Founded by Goldfinch and the Commonwealth Businesswomen’s Network, with the Commonwealth Foundation as a founding partner, CCIA brings together creators, governments, investors, educators, technology companies, buyers and distributors to turn creative talent and intellectual property into sustainable businesses, employment and economic value.

The Commonwealth combines exceptional creative talent, diverse cultural assets and the youngest, fastest growing audiences in the world, yet its creative economy still operates as a set of disconnected national markets with thin data and few partners able to design policy, structure finance and then deliver.

CCIA closes that gap through three connected activities, each with a clear lead, a clear delivery partner and a clear commercial model, so that Commonwealth nations build, own and distribute more of their own creative work.

How CCIA works

Three focus areas, one alliance

Focus area 01

Events

Quarterly convening of the people who move policy and capital: ministers, High Commissions, film boards, sovereign funds, DFIs, platforms, investors and producers, from the Commonwealth’s own summit to Davos and Cannes, with bespoke ministerial roundtables and market showcases built around specific markets and themes.
